MLB Playoffs: Rangers vs. Rays, Game One

Members of the Tampa Bay Rays grounds crew begin to spray paint the ALDS 2010 logo on the field in St. Petersburg.

Whether you plan on following the Rays-Rangers game online or disappearing from the office to get a little lubricated, right here is the place to drop your thoughts on the genius of Cliff Lee, the Rays attendance, how much you wish Joe West were part of the umpire crew, and whatever else comes to mind. Today’s pitching match-up of Cliff Lee and David Price is tremendous.

Both pitchers have already experienced signature October moments. Two years ago, Price came on late in Game 7 of the ALCS against Boston for 1 1/3 innings of relief and promptly mowed down the Sox, sending Tampa to its first World Series. Lee, of course, shutdown Yankee Stadium all by his lonesome in game one of the World Series last year, a performance aptly summed up by his nonchalant glove work.
