Alabama Vs. South Carolina 2010 Shakes College Football Rankings

This Alabama vs. South Carolina 2010 game will shake the
college football rankings for week 7 when they come out on Sunday, and it could shape the rest of the season for the Crimson Tide. South Carolina came into the game with a 3-1 record and a No. 19 ranking in the latest college football rankings. Even with the game taking place in Columbia, South Carolina, it seemed like this should be one that Alabama would win. That didn't even come close to happening though, as South Carolina controlled the game from early in the first quarter, and didn't look back until they had beaten Alabama 35-21.

The Alabama vs. South Carolina 2010 game came down to the rushing defense of South Carolina, which absolutely shut down the running game of Alabama. In the first five games of the season for Alabama, Trent Richardson and Mark Ingram had run over every team they had played. These are two running backs that could each go for more than 100 yards on any given night, but South Carolina didn't even let Alabama get to 100 yards total on the ground. The end game stats had Alabama totaling 36 rushing yards on 29 carries, for an embarrassing average of just 1.2 yards per carry. That just isn't going to get it done in the SEC, and it certainly didn't get it done against South Carolina. Then there was running back Marcus Lattimore for South Carolina who ran for 93 yards and two touchdowns of his own.
