With all the excitement, the 2010 Ironman Triathlon World Championship is all set to be held in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii today. The year's Ironman Kona is going to be the 34th Triathlon World Championship, with all the top triathlon runners of the world participating.
For some people, Ironman Kona will be tough to run, but for the experienced runners, it is fun and thrilling to take part in the competition. The Ironman Kona 2010 Championship will be consisted of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.2 mile run, along with the 26.2 mile run marathon by itself.
Last year, Craig AlexanderAlexander of Australia was crowned as the winner of Ironman Kona Championship event for the men with the final time of 8:20:21. Among women, Chrissie Wellington of Great Britain won the championship with the time 8:54:02.
