Redskins vs. Cowboys -- final play of the game

You really can’t find a football play with a wilder swing of emotion than the final

play of the Redskins-Cowboys game Sunday night. Dallas went from the joy of having just pulled off a last-second miracle victory, to sadness when they realized the TD didn’t count because of an Alex Barron hold… all in the span of about three seconds: Here’s the video: Week one of the NFL got underway with a plethora of games on tap. Regardless of who your favorite team was, you probably either already saw them in action or will see then tonight. One of the highly anticipated games was between Washington and Dallas, with Washington playing the role of the underdog at home according to various online betting sites. That just goes to show you that before you bet anytime, especially on big games like the Redskins vs Cowboys, you need to check all the expert resources.

The Redskins may have been a 3.5 underdog but when the curtain closed, Washington had reigned in a win at 13-7. Washington had no intentions of letting Dallas just breeze into town and then leave with their heads held high. Instead, the Redskins made it clear the Cowboys were leaving with their head on a block. It was just a 6 point win, but that’s a lot of ground covered when you were the underdog at kick-off time. The Redskins vs Cowboys wasn’t the best exhibition of great football, but a win is a win.

Naturally everyone was watching to see what the Redskins could do with those pesky Cowboys. It wasn’t the offense that handed out the punishment though. The defense for Washington was relentless. Washington had huge defensive performances from DeAngelo Hall, Orakpo, LaRon Landry and Carlos Rogers all put on a good clinic in team work. The Redskins vs Cowboys was certainly not suppose to turn out with a Washington win but the Redskins defense wasn’t suppose to be that good either.
