Even on the lam, Gemma (Katey Sagal) is still one cunning woman you don’t want to
mess with. And, her protégé tough-as-nails Tara (Maggie Siff) isn’t that far off. Sons of Anarchy continued its adrenaline filled third season with Episode 2, “Oiled.” While Gemma deals with her father’s dementia, Jax (Charlie Hunnam) and Clay (Ron Perlman) are hard at work tracking down Cameron Hayes (Jamie McShane).
“You trying to scare me?” Tara asks Jax. Try as he might, Tara is just one woman who ‘don’t scare so easy.’ She’s taking her position as girlfriend to the SAMCRO VP seriously by applying for a leave of absence from St. Thomas, while the SAMCRO continues the search for Abel. Surprisingly, St. Thomas’ chief administrator Margaret Murphy (McNally Sagal) would rather have Tara on staff; despite the facial bruise Tara dealt her in Season 2.
Although we have yet to see Alvarez (Emilio Rivera), the ongoing war with the Mayans continues to rage on. It seems the attack on Half-Sack’s funeral was part of a Motorcycle Club (MC) initiation. Alvarez is raising supporters in the heroine business now that the deal he made in season 2 with Zobelle (Adam Arkin) has come to fruition. It seems that the Sons will be taking heat from several sides this season, the least of which are the Mayans. At the end of the day, it’s all about Abel and the Irish.
