You may have noticed on the Google homepage today a special Google Doodle to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Buckyball, a specially shaped molecule, and if you want to read more about that see our previous article. However a lot of people don’t realise there’s a really neat toy also called the Buckyball, based on molecular structure.
Buckyballs Magnetic Building Spheres is a magnetic desk accessory and from what we’ve seen of it, looks the sort of toy that could become addictive. You can see a look at just some of the things you can do with Bucky Balls on the video below this story.
Every individual Bucky Ball has two magnetic poles to repel and attract and each set on sale consists of 216 which you can shape to create patterns, sculptures and a vast amount of other uses, such as using them as fridge magnets. You can find them on sale at Dillyeo.com for $29.99.
Are you tempted to purchase some Bucky Balls? I know I am. We’d welcome your thoughts and ideas on this so please do send in your comments.
