Indianapolis Colts wide receiver, Austin Collie suffered an injury during the second quarter of Sunday’s game against Philadelphia Eagles. Collie was injured due to head-to-head hit by Philadelphia Eagles safety, Kurt Coleman.

Indianapolis Colts coach, Jim Caldwell said that Collie’s status is good in the locker room after the injury and believes that Collies will recover for the next game.

Every one on the field and off the field was scared as Collie lay on the ground for several minutes. Trainers reached the Collie and take him away on stretcher.

“I won’t go into all the details about it, but he took a pretty good hit,” Jim Caldwell said. “He was out, unconscious for a period of time.” An obvious significant injury to Indianapolis Colts broad receiver Austin Collie cast a grim shadow around the very first half of Sunday’s game in Philadelphia.

Collie appeared to become knocked unconscious by a pair of Eagles defenders in Kurt Coleman and Asante Samuel.

He was placed on a stretcher and taken off the sector. He confirmed no indicators of movement, but was conscious and blinking his eyes as he was wheeled off the sector.

Initial replays on television didn’t necessarily show an illegal hit, however the officials threw a penalty flag around the play anyway.
