Top 5 Dramatic Readings Of Pop Songs, From “Baby” To “Poker Face” Full Videos

We’re assuming James Earl Jones stopped by the Gayle King’s talk show this morning to promote his new Broadway play, Driving Miss Daisy. There’s nothing more amusing than hearing a famous person turn a silly pop song into something that could have come out of a Shakespearean sonnet. Hop below for our 5 favorite dramatic line readings of songs by Bieber, Gaga, Rihanna and more.

Justin Bieber’s “Baby”, as dramatically read by James Earl Jones.

Rihanna’s “Umbrella”, as dramatically read by William Shatner

The Beatles’ “A Hard Day’s Night”, as dramatically read by Peter Sellers

Ke$ha’s “TiK ToK”, as dramatically read (and analyzed) by Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Paul Muldoon
