Randy Newman's been in the music biz a long time, more than 40 years. (Baltimoreans may remember his 1977 song, "Baltimore," a not-exactly complimentary ode to Charm City that almost got him run out of town on a rail when he played the Lyric that winter.)

He's been nominated for 20 Oscars, won two - including tonight's, for "We Belong Together," from "Toy Story 3."Best Original Song was given to Randy Newman for "We Belong Together" from Toy Story 3,, and Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross won Best Original Score for' The Social Network.

Randy Newman finally wins his SECOND Oscar. Love Randy Newman. Why does he slur his songs so much?Randy Newman celebrates his second win, for best song “We Belong Together” from Toy Story 3.

His last win was best song for Monsters, Inc., another Pixar film, where he has done six pictures. “I want to be good television so badly,” he says. “I’ve slowed the show down almost every time.”
