See Justin Bieber Wins Favorite Male Singer, Nickelodeon KCA Awards 2011

To the surprise of no one, Justin Bieber and Katy Perry were among the big winners in Nickelodeon's 2011 Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles.

More than 200 million votes were cast to honor the best in kids' entertainment.The show featured a bevy of entertainers, a variety of comedic skits, enough shrieks to deafen the average person and a 7,600-gallon vat of slime.



Justin Bieber is huge, especially among the tween and teen crowd. He has huge selling records, a hit movie and sells out his concerts all over the country. Add in his supposed relationship with Selena Gomez and Justin is constantly being talked about in the news and is hugely popular.

As popular as the other candidates are, this is the Kid’s Choice Awards so it all comes down to the fans votes. This means that, in my eyes, Justin Bieber is by far the favorite. His fan base is fanatical and will vote heavily so if anyone other than Justin wins I will be pretty shocked.

Justin Bieber may not have been able to attend the 2011 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards on April 2, 2011 because he is currently on tour overseas, but that didn’t stop him from taking home the award for Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Song!

The 17-year-old Canadian mega-super-star was voted Favourite Male Singer, while Gomez picked up the Favourite TV Actress award.

In a recent interview with chat-show host David Letterman, Gomez revealed how she met Bieber. She said: 'Actually, his manager called my mum, who’s my manager.'When Letterman quipped 'I heard he was your paperboy', Gomez replied: 'I’m blushing!'






However, when pressed about whether they are actually an item, she dodged the question. 'He’s been in my life for so long, and it’s just nice to have someone that understands what you’re going through.The relationship, however, has not gone down too well with some Bieber fans, who has millions of female admirers.



Gomez told popeater.com that some of the things that have been written about them online have caused her a lot of hurt.She said: 'It's hard. It hurts, it really does. I don't feel like I'm doing anything wrong.

I've been best friends with him for a very long time. It does hurt my feelings a lot, but I try not to focus on it. I have a such a strong family and great fans.'

Other winners at the Nickelodeon Awards include Johnny Depp for Favourite Movie Actor; Miley Cyrus for Favourite Movie Actress; The Karate Kid for Favourite Movie and Despicable Me for Favourite Animated Movie.
