AEK Athens goalkeeper Sebastian Saja was struck by a flare during a tense Greek Cup encounter against PAOK on Wednesday evening.
The Athens outfit advanced to the final after Traianos Dellas scored moments after the half-time interval but the match will be remembered for a number of unsavoury incidents in the Toumba Stadium.
In the 58th minute of Wednesday's Greek Cup semifinal match between PAOK and AEK Athens, a PAOK fan threw a flare onto the field and nailed AEK goalkeeper Sebastian Saja.According Reuters, the Argentine goalie's "jersey was singed" but he was not hurt.With just a minute left in the match, "dozens" of PAOK fans reportedly stormed the field and attacked riot police.
