The chilling surveillance video, released by police Wednesday night, shows the artful rubout bid that nearly ended the life of Tyquan Sewall, 18, in Flatlands about 3 p.m. Tuesday.

A crowd on a New York street took just seconds to flee after a teenage boy was gunned down outside a McDonald's.The camera captures the speed with which the terrified crowd disperse and the out-stretched arm of the shooter — his gun pointed straight at his victim — is clearly visible.

Police said the teenager, who is critical but stable condition in hospital, had had an argument with the gunman earlier in the day outside a burger shop near CUNY-Brooklyn College.

Tyquan Sewall was told come meet a man in McDonald's where he was ambushed and shot three times, in the torso, groin and leg.

Greek authorities say a 55-year-old man has been hospitalized with chest burns after dousing himself with gasoline and then setting his clothes on fire. The man shouted that he was in debt as he carried out the act.

Police said the incident occurred Friday in Thessaloniki, in northern Greece, in front of a bank. Police used fire extinguishers to put out the blaze.

The injured man was not identified, but police say he had also set himself on fire and suffered burns 15 months ago, after complaining he could not pay back the debts from his failed business.Debt-plagued Greece is in its third year of recession, and is surviving on international rescue loans. Drastic cost-cutting measures have caused a rash of business failures and record unemployment.

At least three people are dead and more than 50 people were injured after a World War II era fighter plane plunged into the spectators at an air show in Reno, Nevada.

Officials at the National Championship Air Race said a mechanical failure may have caused the plane P-51 Mustang "Galloping Ghost" piloted by Jimmy Leeward, to plummet out of the sky Friday afternoon and crash into the viewer grandstands.

Reno Air Races president Mike Houghton said the plane was on course before the accident occurred.
